The promoter is Housemate Property Services, operating in Exeter and East Devon.
The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over who own, occupy or have the property owner’s permission for work to be completed at an eligible address within Housemate’s Exeter and East Devon service area.
The prize draw opens when the promotional post is published and closes at 17:00 on Sunday 27 September 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
No purchase is necessary.
To enter, entrants must follow the relevant Housemate Instagram account or Facebook page, like the promotional post and leave a comment describing the work they would like completed.
A maximum of one entry per person is permitted on Instagram and one entry per person on Facebook. An entrant may therefore receive a maximum of two entries.
The prize is up to seven hours of labour from one Housemate team member on one mutually agreed working day. The prize has an approximate labour value of £280.
Materials, fixtures, fittings, parking charges, permits, waste disposal, specialist equipment, subcontractor costs and other third-party expenses are not included. Where required, these must be agreed and paid for by the winner before work begins.
The proposed work is subject to an assessment by Housemate. It must be safe, reasonably achievable during the available time and fall within Housemate’s services, qualifications and capabilities. Gas work, notifiable electrical work, structural work, asbestos-related work and any other regulated or unsuitable work are excluded.
Housemate may agree an alternative suitable task with the winner if the requested work cannot be safely or reasonably completed.
The prize must be booked and used by Monday 15 March 2027. Appointments are subject to availability and must be agreed in advance.
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. Housemate will retain a record of the selection process.
The winner will be contacted by direct message from Housemate’s official account within 48 hours of the draw. If the winner does not respond within seven days, is ineligible or cannot accept the prize, another winner may be selected at random.
The prize is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged and no cash alternative will be offered.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied as part of their entry is accurate.
Housemate reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated or otherwise contrary to these terms.
Housemate may postpone, amend or cancel the promotion where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this unavoidable, provided this is done fairly and does not disadvantage entrants unnecessarily.
The winner’s surname and county may be made available as required by applicable promotional rules. The winner may object to or limit this disclosure by contacting Housemate.
Personal information will only be used to administer the prize draw in accordance with Housemate’s privacy policy.
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram. By entering, participants release Facebook and Instagram from responsibility relating to the promotion.
